Christ Laid Aside His Own Honour

1. Christ laid aside His own honor,
His glory He left above
He came down to dark sinful world:
He’s a man of sympathy
He suffered death and agony
In our place that we might live

2. Jesus has fully accepted
Jesus has the power too.
To deliver His faithful friends,
From the hands of all their foes
Jesus’ love is great and matchless;
His friendship to us untold.

3. Jesus has fully accepted
Jesus has the power too.
To deliver His faithful friends,
From the hands of all their foes
Jesus’ love is great and matchless;
His friendship to us untold.

4. Christ my friend shame overwhelms me,
That my love to Thee is small
Take my heart, fill it with thy love,
Let it fill me o’er and o’er.
Wash in thy blood, make me holy,
Take me up, to dwell with Thee.

"He that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life".
Jn. 8:1
