Behold how all the world did lay
In state of sin and death;
The way of escape far away
And grace was never there
The Son of God then having seen,
As we all lay in ruin;
By his great love and great mercy,
He came, and gave his life.
He condescends himself to man,
And carefully observes
The law of God, in His human
And died for us, to save
Let everything on earth, and man,
Cry-out and sing his praise,
With one accord, the love of God,
And Christ our saviour dear.
