Hear, a voice speaks from the grave
"Tis the holy angel voice
Hear him saying from the grave
Christ the Lord risen today.
Christians, haste your vows to pay;
Offer ye your praises meet
Lift up your voices to sing
That 'H's risen from the death'.
Hear another voice without;
'Like a farmer's voice, He said',
'Go and tell my people that',
In Galilee we shall meet;
Let us sing with gladsome mind
Christ reveal himself again
Christ o'er come the death and grave
He has risen from the death
Where His disciples had met.
With great fear of death, He died
Hail, the Lord appeared to them,
'Peace be unto you,' he said,
Let us all with one accord
Offered praise to Christ the Lord,
Praise the friend of needy ones
He has risen from the death.
See, the Lord at last ascend
Riding on the clouds, above
To his heavenly palace gate;
Hear his loving farewell word
